Abruzzo has got three National Parks: The Gran Sasso and Maiella a regional Park, the Velino-Sirente and more than 30 reserves and natural oasis.

There are some maps and guides you can buy but these are not easy to find in the UK. It's probably best to try the Visitor Center in Caramanico Terme .
